The U.S. military has little interest in infantry gear. New body armor is available, which is stronger, lighter, and covers the vital neck, gut, kidney and lower spine areas. However, it will take over a decade to outfit all active and reserve infantrymen because most funds are channeled to the "digital" rackets. I'd like to see the top General of the Army and Marines testify that new body armor is his service's #1 procurement priority. This will never happen because huge profits are not made from body armor.
